Biography for Ann Ingram - Kennel Name: Tirkane

Born into the world of dogs with a mother who bred Boxers and a father who was a Terrier man and professional handler, Ann started to handle almost as soon as she could walk!! Wanting to have something different for herself she bought a Boston Terrier from England which became her first English Champion when she was just 14 years old. It was not long before she transferred her affections to Boxers and Poodles, and in later years Lhasa Apsos with the occasional Whippet, Beagle, Wire Fox Terrier, Boston, Pug and Shetland Sheepdog just for fun!!! She has subsequently made up 24 English Champions and over 100 Irish Champions.

In 1968 she had her first judging appointment under both I.K.C. and E.K.C. Rules. She awarded C.C.'s for the first time in 1977 and became an All Rounder under I.K.C. Rules in 1984. Anne is currently an All Breeds Judge under F.C.I. Rules and has regularly judged in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa, South America and 14 European Countries, more than 29 Countries in total, including 3 times at the Stockholm International Winners Show, The European Winners Show Budapest, European Winners Show Dublin, Hobart Royal, Best In Show at Brisbane Royal 2004, Best In Show Helsinki International Winners Show 2005, & two appointments at Crufts. She currently tries to find a balance between judging and breeding dogs, and no longer shows her Boxers but still exhibits Toy Poodles on a regular basis and won the Dog C.C. at Crufts 2008 and World Winner 2008.

Biography for Phillip Wendling - Kennel Name: Lynphil

We at Lynphil Shelties started breeding in 1975 and have successfully finished 60 plus champions. We started showing an Irish Setter and after a year we switched to Shetland Sheepdogs. We took a small side step and tried Rough Collies and Pekingese but decided to stay with the Shelties.  I was active in obedience and titled 25 dogs but decided to go the conformation route. I am currently self-employed after working for large firms for over 40 years in the telecommunications field. I have been judging since 1998.

Biography for Doris Willis - Kennel Name: DanDor

Dogs have been part of her life since birth, starting with a pair of German Shepherds  in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  Throughout the course of her childhood, a variety of breeds became part of the family, including a Pekingese,  St. Bernard, a rescue Afghan, and a pair of Bloodhounds she helped her father train in obedience classes at age 10.  In Ontario, her junior handling days comprised of showing the family’s  purebred goats.  This background led to an appreciation for pedigrees and conformation.   Marriage introduced her to the Doberman owned by her husband, Dana, which he trained to titles in Tracking and Obedience.  As years went by,  together with the help of their 4 children,  they began Dandor Kennel with the first Cairn Terrier purchased from the Heshe Kennel in Holland.  Fondness for other breeds led to the addition of West Highland White Terriers,  Sealyham Terriers, a brief time with Golden Retrievers, plus PBGV’s, and also Cesky Terriers.  Now enjoying retirement which allows for more time to read and paint, a Tibetan Spaniel  is her companion.
